Wellington College Tianjin Charity Summer Fair 2024

This year's theme was “Go for Green” reflecting the school’s commitment to inspiring positive environmental actions and fostering a sustainable mindset. The raffle tickets used seed paper, which can be planted in soil and will grow into plants, leaving no waste behind. This unique and eco-friendly approach promoted sustainability and environmental awareness. The event also emphasized the importance of garbage sorting, reducing the burden on the environment, and promoting the recycling and reuse of resources. Additionally, an environmental pin was designed to express support and love for environmental causes, further encouraging participation in environmental protection.

As with any charity event, many sponsors helped us by very generously donating prizes towards our raffle draw. This is always a highlight of the fair and there were many happy winners. The event was a true testament to the power of community support, with vendors, sponsors, and members of the Wellington community all coming together to make it a resounding success.

Children's future requires not only technological advancements but also a harmonious and sustainable living space that enhances their happiness and well-being. We hope that through the Summer Fair, more people will be encouraged to pay attention to the environment and plant seeds of compassion, care, and a deep appreciation for sustainable living in the hearts of our children.
