Wellington College Tianjin Whole School Open Days in June
June marks the beginning of summer. It is a month of joy and excitement, as people embrace the warm weather and take advantage of all the fun activities and events that come with the season.
In June, Wellington College Tianjin has planned a series of Whole School Open Days from Early Years to Senior School for the current and 2023-24 Academic Year. Not only can you receive a comprehensive understanding of Wellington's curriculum, academic achievements, and holistic education, but also you can have all your questions answered by the Head of Schools and the Admissions team.

Our Early Years Bilingual Centre will provide your child with a stimulating, nurturing and, most importantly, fun learning environment. Home to four year groups, Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Reception and Year 1, our curriculum is linked to the expectations of the English EYFS curriculum and the Chinese curriculum for 3-6 years old.
Each class is overseen by an educational team in each class, under their care, children spend much of their day exploring and learning through play as well as engaging in daily phonics, maths, literacy and outdoor learning. This builds a firm foundation that enables our pupils to advance into Junior School with confidence.
Our rigorous Junior School international curriculum provides the foundation upon which your child will build long-term academic success. We have modelled it after the English National Curriculum, but that is only a starting point. We enhance it with key elements from the International Primary Curriculum and further supplement it with an extensive programme of co-curricular activities.
It is during the junior years that pupils make the pivotal transition from general classroom teaching to specialised teaching. As they move through the year levels our pupils begin to develop a sense of independence and personal responsibility as they look to transition into Senior School.

Our Senior School curriculum instils in our pupils an abiding passion for our global scientific, linguistic and cultural heritage. Pupils from year 7-9 study a well regarded balanced internationally minded curriculum leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination qualifications at years10-11.
This provides them with a comprehensive mix of core subjects, such as English, mathematics and science along with options in the humanities, arts and PE. Sixth-form pupils study the A Level programme. A Levels are the gold standard in terms of preparation and qualification to the world's premier universities worldwide.
