Congratulations to Sylvia on her offer to read Creative Arts and Humanities and English at the University College London.
Creative Arts and Humanities is an interdisciplinary degree course that will enable students to develop both their creative and critical skills, focusing on the role of narrative across three forms of creative practice: Writing, Moving Image, and Performance. Students benefit from world-class research across the arts and humanities at UCL, ranked 5th in the world for these disciplines (THE World University Rankings 2022 by subject), as well as from creative practitioners working in different fields.
UCL was the first university in England to teach English at the undergraduate level, and since then the English Department's courses have evolved to reflect the twin virtues of breadth and depth. The Department of English Language and Literature at UCL is one of the most enduring and respected in Britain and is perfectly suited for students wishing to immerse themselves in a highly regarded and varied syllabus that combines traditional literary skills and modern thought. Department staff demonstrate a wide breadth of expertise across many literary periods and topics, as well as in language, both its history and its modern forms.
Look out for more updates from us as further offers arrive in April.
