Wellington College launches its 2022 Scholarship Programme
Over 20 years ago, Wellington College China Founder and Chairman Joy Qiao was awarded the Shuping scholarship. "It changed my life," she recalls. "The Shuping scholarship award gave me the opportunity to attend the University of Oxford. I owe so much of my success in life to them. With our Scholarship Programme, I want to give back, to provide a similar life-changing opportunity for talented young children regardless of their financial situation. I see this as a moral imperative."
Likewise, Wellington College China's arts, sports and academic scholarships present talented pupils with a similarly life-changing experience. Our scholarships will open the door to a world where they can learn, explore and achieve great things.

Scholarship Programme
Our Academic scholarship covers up to 100% of the tuition fee. Its mission is to nurture pupils who exhibit outstanding academic performance, leadership potential and unfailing kindness to their peers.
Our holistic education encourages well-rounded development, so this scholarship is targeted at pupils who exhibit outstanding performance in the arts, sports and music.

In 2021, pupils at Wellington College Tianjin obtained impressive university offers from Oxford, Cambridge, G5 super-elite universities and the Ivy League. 50% of our pupils achieved A* in their respective A-Level exams. In Wellington College Tianjin, 30% of eligible pupils receive scholarships ranging from 10% to 100% each year.

All external candidates are welcome to apply and may be awarded scholarships based upon their academic prowess, potential, commitment and values. The candidate must apply for enrolment at the College to be eligible for the Scholarship Programme.
